This week we want to share more about our latest rice-crop and how everyone in the family can find ways to be helpful & involved in that project.
To remind you, our latest crop was part white Jasmine rice (on the left) and part “Rice berry” red rice (on the right). The market value of the red-rice is almost three-times the value of white rice.
The girls at Home of Faith are helping prepare the riceberry for sale—they patiently sort out all the unwanted bits of chaff & kernels of white rice that can get into the riceberry during the milling process.
“God hates cheating in the marketplace; he loves it when business is aboveboard.” (Proverbs 11:1 The Message)
“But you must be strong and not be discouraged. The work that you do will be rewarded. “ (2 Chron 15:7)
Here you can see how we’ve used a vacuum-sealer to package ½ pound of this special rice. We hope packages like this can be shipped to customers & sponsors in the US.
The rice itself is so unique and so highly nutritious that we’re praying God will open doors for us to focus on growing & selling this special rice for more than the meager profit we’ve made with Jasmine rice.
“Expect God to act! For I know that I shall again have plenty of reason to praise him for all that he will do. He is my help! He is my God!” (Psalm 42:11 The Living Bible)
Please pray that God will guide us in all of our work and planning.
“It’s a good thing to quietly hope, quietly hope for help from God.” (Lamentations 3:26)
Grace and peace be with you in Christ,
