Miscellany June 13, 2010
June 13th, 2010Greetings from Chiang Mai,
The weather has changed, and the smoggy air has given way to clear blue sky and beautiful clouds. We get showers often in the afternoon, and the daytime high temperatures have dropped back into the upper 90s (really…that is cooler than last month). Shirley returned from a short trip to the US and has been trying to get back into our Thai sleep-schedule.
We have a few odds-n-ends to share about recent family activities.
Please pray that God will continue to safeguard our children from harm, and bless them all to become godly believers.
Pray that God will supply all that we need to serve Him well and truly in this generation.
Grace and Peace to you,
Dave & Shirley Callahan
The new children at our Happy Heart Dorm were able to celebrate a birthday party in their new home.
At Home of Grace, the family visited their hill tribe village where they are setting up the small store (as a family self-help project)
Inside the one-room store, new stocks and supplies have already begun to sell—helping the villagers, and our orphan family.
At Home of Comfort, all of the boys are learning to help care for the new baby (boy) of house parents, Yae and Moi.
Here young Solomon takes a turn at holding the baby.
As the weather changes, and clear sky and rain clouds replace the smog, we are reminded of the beauty in God’s creation!
