School’s out! Mar 20/2010
March 21st, 2010Hello friends of Faithful Heart,
The Faithful Heart children have finished school for the year, and we want to share some pictures from their final-day activities. Every school plans special activities for the last day, and all the parents and guests enjoy seeing the children display their talents and receive recognition for academic achievement. Below are some photos from the public school in Mae Rim, which several of our children attend.
Please pray that we can identify even better schools and education opportunities for the next school year. Also, because tuition is so expensive at the better schools, pray that we will have all the resources needed to ensure the orphans have access to the best schools we can find.
Grace and peace to you,
Dave & Shirley Callahan
At the elementary school, all the young boys are dressed in traditional costumes as they perform age-old Thai dances.
At the kindergarten, several children wait patiently with their teacher. They are wearing the required school uniforms.
Here some of the older boys are playing flutes to demonstrate their musical skills. Nathan and Solomon are on the left.
Samuel received a special certificate of recognition for his classroom work. He is a good student and a great artist.
Shirley hosted a baby-shower party for Mui, the home mother at Home of Comfort. She just delivered a baby boy!
Mui is at left, the beautiful boy is resting in the center, and Aom, our office assistant is on the right.
