Holiday preparations 12/20/2009
December 19th, 2009Hello dear friends,
We’ve returned from the fresh/clean cool air in the US to our normal smoky and smog-saturated winter weather in Chiang Mai.
This is the early morning view from our balcony – that’s not fog!
“It’s beginning to look (and smell) a lot like Christmas…” sing-along!

We already miss our family, the grandchildren, and our friends whom we shared a short visit with in America!

Here in Chiang Mai, the families are doing fine, the gardens are thriving, and the rice harvest is finished. We plan
To have a Christmas party on Saturday, with all our families, children, and friends – worship, good food, singing, and fun.
In our office/home, we’ve put up our “Charlie Brown” Christmas tree. It’s a live tree we keep outside in a pot.
It isn’t much to look at, but it’s beautiful to us and helps provide some holiday atmosphere.
Follow up note: Last week I showed the children holding catfish from their pond…here those fish are cooking on the charcoal grill.
We all wish a Merry Christmas and Seasons Greetings to you.
May God renew your appreciation of His Grace-gift and
Bless you with time to rest, enjoy family and share Christian fellowship.
Remember that you are well loved in Thailand.
