School Uniforms 10/4/2009
October 4th, 2009Hello Dear friends,
This week we share some recent photos and notes about the children’s schooling. Please remember to pray for our orphan ministry; times are tough and funding is a constant concern. Pray that God will bless us with all we truly need, and protect us from the sin of worry.
Grace and peace to you,
Dave & Shirley Callahan
In Thailand, most schools require uniforms for all the students. And not just one uniform, but sometimes several: One for normal days, one for sports, and another uniform for scout activities. In this photo some of the boys from Home of Blessing look proud and handsome in their school uniforms.

Faithful Heart also helps provide food for the children at a Christian Hill Tribe hostel in Samoeng, west of Chiang Mai. Here the 15 children stop for a photo in their pretty school sports uniform. These children, from very poor villages, live in the Christian home while they attend a local school.

The proper “uniform” for working in the rice-paddy includes rubber boots and gloves. Samuel and Jonathan are having too much fun to call this “work”. Our rice crop is already over 3-feet tall.

After their regular Saturday English class, at our foundation training room, the children visited a scenic outlook on the mountaintop overlooking Chiang Mai. Hey guys, turn around for the photo!

Near the Samoeng children’s hostel, the house parents and volunteers work in their rented land to grow rice.
