Intentional Care 10-11-2009
October 14th, 2009Hello dear friends,
This week we will share a few photos of current activities in our orphan homes. We try to be both loving and “intentional” in the way we care for the children. Nearly every activity is geared to teach or help prepare them to become faithful Christian adults who can be self-supporting and effective Gospel-sharing believers. Our prayer is that God will draw them into saving faith and equip them to bear Kingdom fruit. Toward that end, we ask for you to remember to pray regularly for these orphans and their house parents.
Even the house father, Prajuab, can teach the boys in Home of Blessing about cooking and working in the kitchen.
This photo shows them working in the large kitchen at their church.
Ann, one of our social workers, spends time each week with the children. She plans activities and games to
help them develop and fulfill their God given potential. While studying, Joshua is entertaining with a guitar.
At Home of Grace, Tom allows the children to help him dump tiny catfish into the fishpond they’ve built.
They want to grow the fish large enough to eat and perhaps they will have enough to sell also.
This beautiful land is in an area we are considering to lease or purchase as our rice and vegetable farming center.
Pray that God will open the way for us to have plenty of good land for our self-help projects.
Grace and peace to you,
Dave & Shirley Callahan
