Story telling 9/27/09

September 27th, 2009

Hello dear friends,

Storytelling is a fun and useful activity at our Home of Grace. Tom, the housefather reads children’s books for the boys in his house. They love it so much that he must tell a bedtime story almost every evening. Tom and his wife, Pikoon, also encourage each of the boys to take turns leading the group activity. This should help the children gain self confidence and some leader-skills.

Here Tom is reading a story from a book with great illustrations.

Later on, Peter takes his turn as the lead story-teller with the same book. He looks so serious as he relates the story.

We are just a little more than a month away from harvest time for our rice crop. Though all the families work together to help plant and tend the crop, Daniel, the house father at Home of Comfort, is the tireless leader.

This shows Daniel working alone on a very hot and humid morning. He is also a wonderful house father!

During rainy season, the clouds hang so low that they block out the mountains that are nearby.

This photo shows our field just prior to harvest last year. Pray that the crop this year will be even more plentiful.
