Learning & Teaching Aug 31-2009
September 1st, 2009Hello friends of Faithful Heart ministry
Question: Have you ever finished learning?
Most of us would quickly answer, “No” — It seems as though there is always some new skill to master, or new information to learn. As you might expect, teaching and learning are core activities in our ministries.
Pray that we will be successful in all of our teaching efforts, and that Faithful Heart children will learn important life-skills and Bible truths.
Blessings to you, Dave & Shirley Callahan
We have partnered with several missionaries from the Phillipines who teach English language classes for Thai children
each Saturday in the classroom space at our foundation office. Here five of our orphan boys are learning basic English words.
Also on Saturdays, Thai children from Buddhist families attend the English classes. Our friends teach English using
Bible stories and Bible illustrations which are intended to raise questions about faith and Christian beliefs.
At Home of Grace, the boys line up in their school uniforms to pray before heading off to school. Prayer before study
is a great habit to instill in the children.
Each Sunday, Shirley and I lead a Bible study time with friends who are full-time Christian workers in Chiang Mai.
Even missionaries know we must never stop our study of God’s Word.
