Hello dear friends!
We’ve returned to Thailand, and the weather here is really pleasant. Our time in America was a great blessing, and now we’re back on the mission field. Or thanks to all who treated us so very kindly during our travels. “for we have heard [and felt] how much you trust the Lord, and how much you love his people.” (Col 1:5)
On our 2nd day back in Chiangmai, David had to tackle a repair of our water supply (for the office & college dorm). The system stopped pumping filtered water, and it took awhile to find the problem—A very large bird had somehow gotten into our overhead storage tank and died—probably weeks ago. The feathers & bones & stinky water had clogged the pipes. Needless to say, we spent another day draining and cleaning the entire system. Yuck! “God can pour on the blessings in astonishing ways so that you’re ready for anything and everything, more than just ready to do what needs to be done.” (2 Cor 9:8 The Message)
On a happier note, we are glad to report that Matt & Audrey, our full time volunteers, did a wonderful job of keeping the ministry active & fruitful while we were away. This photo is from a “sports day” when all the families come for a day of games and a picnic lunch. “Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.” (1 Cor 15:58)
The individual homes stayed active and here the house father at Home of Faith shows Rachel some of the food being prepared for a delicious outdoor fish-fry. “Don’t worry and say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’…Seek first God’s kingdom and what God wants. Then all your other needs will be met as well.” (Matt 6:31,33)
Our children continue to flourish in the Christian home & family environment. Here is Hanna today, and her photo from 7 years ago. She has become an excellent student and she’s a great blessing to her house parents. “your Father in heaven does not want any of these little children to be lost.” (Matt 18:24)
Here is Phillip, showing him today, and how he looked when he came to live in our Home of Grace. He is a confidant young man who dreams of a bright future. “God began doing a good work in you, and I am sure he will continue it until it is finished when Jesus Christ comes again.” (Philip 1:6)
Please keep praying for the children God has graciously allowed us to rescue. May they continue to grow “safe-and-sound” in Jesus.
“[Jesus said] Remain in me, and I will remain in you.” (John 15:4)
God bless you and keep you,
