Our “caregiver” family, Prajuab & Oranee, from Home of Blessing (HOB), feel God calling them back to their mountain village to serve in a small church there.

This photo shows the beauty of that area, and though we’d love for them to continue working with us, we do understand the attraction of “returning home”.  Therefore, we’re closing our Home of Blessing.

Here house mother Oranee, takes down the banner as they begin to close down the home. Three boys from that home will relocate—two will move into our new boys dorm, and one will move into our Home of Grace.

“Leave…and go to a land that I am going to show you.” (Genesis 12:1)

This photo shows HOB house father Prajuab enjoying time with village children near a riverbank swimming hole. May God continue to bless both Prajuab & Oranee and use them to draw children to Jesus.

“God Almighty bless you and give you many children;” (Genesis 28:3)

The village where they’ll live is several hours from Chiang Mai, and part of the road is not paved, as you see in the photo from an earlier visit! Notice the bridge made of cut-logs.

“You bring them in and plant them on your mountain, the place that you, LORD, have chosen for your home,” (Exodus 15:17)

The oldest boy from Home of Blessing, Solomon, has decided to move on at this time (he’s 19 years old) and will go to live with his aunt.  We’ve loved & cared for Solomon as he’s grown, from a shy young boy, into a gentle & quiet young man! He’s just now leaving, but we already miss him.

“How can a young man keep his life pure? By obeying your commands. With all my heart I try to serve you; keep me from disobeying your commandments.” (Psalm 119:9-10)

While walking and praying, a few mornings ago, I took time to record the beautiful sunrise…the hopeful beginning of a new day.

“Praise him from sunrise to sunset! For he is high above the nations; his glory is far greater than the heavens.” (Psalm 113:3-4)

As life flows on, and endless & inevitable changes occur, our challenge is to remain hopeful — trusting in our eternal God who never changes! He is our Solid Rock and our Secure Fortress. Praise be to Him!

Please pray for:  house parents Prajuab & Oranee as they begin another chapter in their life of faith.

Also, pray for the boys from Home of Blessing as they transition move into different Faithful Heart homes.

And, pray for Solomon as he moves back to live with a relative–may the Christian love he’s received, and the nurture of faith-training that’s been poured into his young life, become the anchor sustaining him in Christ.

There is an old song which was taught to us many years ago during a mission-trip to Venezuela; the words are, “There’s a storm out, on the ocean, and it’s comin’ this-a way, if your soul’s not, anchored in Jesus, you will surely drift away…”

…in all things you are faithful, O LORD. You rule over the powerful sea; you calm its angry waves.” (Psalm 89-8-9)

Grace and peace, AND HOPE, be yours forever in Christ,
