Hello dear friends,
Though it is raining almost daily now, there are still periods of bright sunlight…and the family at our Happy Hearts Dorm found these glasses are perfect for outdoor work on sunny days.
Not too far from our Happy Hearts Dorm, villagers gather in a small church for Bible preaching/teaching– led by our house father, Lek.
“So then, faith comes to us by hearing the Good News. And the Good News comes by someone preaching it.” (Romans 10:17 NLT)
Our house-fathers take time for a “picnic lunch” during a day working at our rented rice-paddy land.
We hired men with tractors to plow-under the old rice stalks as we prepare the paddy for planting our second rice crop this year. See this link for a video paddy plowing.
We are praying about how we might create a “crowd-funding” project to raise funds to purchase a tractor (similar to this one)…we really need a tractor to ease the backbreaking work of growing our own rice.
The work is often interrupted by afternoon thunderstorms. Everyone heads for shelter when there is lightning, but if its just rain (as in this photo), the work goes on despite the dark clouds.
“I came to the world to be a Light. Anyone who puts his trust in me will not be in darkness.” (John 12:46 NLT)
Please remember to pray for the children, and the hard-working house parents.
We praise God every day for the kindness and generosity of you who support this orphan-rescue ministry.

Grace and peace to you in Christ,
