Hello Dear friends,
This week, as with most work-weeks, has flown by too quickly. As I was sorting through photos to include this week, I decided to do a quick look back at the 2015 “end of year” activities.
We enjoyed several great gathering events with all of our families and friends. Here some of our girls make funny faces during our Christmas worship evening.
L-R are: Martha, Raina, Becky, Rachael, Hannah, Paula, and Sarah.
“He [GOD] sets the time for sorrow and the time for joy, the time for mourning and the time for dancing…” (Eccles 3:4)
Most of our children had no Christmas break from school. These children are eating a school lunch of rice, eggs, and fruit.
“Who is the true and wise servant, whom his lord has put over those in his house, to give them their food at the right time? A blessing on that servant, who will be doing so when his lord comes.” (Matt 24:45)
The chickens, which Matt raised in our compound, quickly grew & matured into market-ready ones that he loaded into the back of our truck for delivery. Here Gawley checks one load before taking off.
“Don’t hoard your goods; spread them around. Be a blessing to others.” (Eccles 11:2 The Message)
Now, you know what happens to chickens, right? This grill at Home of Faith is loaded with chicken being prepared for a holiday feast.
“Now you will have plenty to eat, and be satisfied. You will praise the Lord your God, who has done wonderful things for you.” (Joel 2:26)
The house parents and children at the Samoeng Hill tribe dorm (Victory Dorm), already finished harvesting the crop of rice that we funded.
“Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses.” (Eccles 3:1 GNT)
Now the new year is already bringing the annual problem of polluted air caused by the burning of fields before the spring planting. In January & February the smoke can get pretty bad, and many of us suffer respiratory ailments.
“Since we have such a huge crowd of men of faith watching us from the grandstands, let us strip off anything that slows us down or holds us back, and especially those sins that entangle themselves so tightly around our feet and trip us up…” (Hebrews 12:1)
Please remember to pray that our children & families will not be too severely afflicted with breathing problems from these, “days of burning”.
Pray that Shirley & I can be blessed with health & strength to do all that’s needed to care for the families.
Shirley & I have scheduled a visit to the US this summer: Arrive on May 13th, and fly back to Thailand on August 30th.
Please pray and consider giving us an opportunity to visit your church or group to report on the mission work.
Grace and Peach to you in Christ,
