Faithful Heart News

Callahan Corner: Feb 25, 2018

Hello Dear friends,

Once again, we reflect on the past ten years of our FAITHFUL HEART FOUNDATION ministry.
By God’s grace, there have been many places, circumstances, and lives impacted and blessed by your gifts & prayers. “If you must choose, take a good name rather than great riches; for to be held in loving esteem is better than silver and gold.”  (Prov 22:1) Leave a mark
This was our very first rented home for orphan boys. We actually setup this home in July 2007, in anticipation that our application to establish a foundation would eventually be approved…it was finally approved eight months after we posed for this photo. “What is faith? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead.”  (Heb 11:1) Lawrence pics 492
Shirley & I have watched many children grow and mature into faithful disciples of Jesus. Here we are with Cherry. Now she’s married and expecting a baby boy in April. “They will be radiant because of the Lord’s good gifts”  (Jerem 31:12) Cherry then-n-now
Here you see Aom and Shirley standing beside our big sign to identify our humble office location, right on a busy highway, in 2009. “What is the Kingdom like?” he [Jesus] asked. … It is like a tiny mustard seed planted in a garden; soon it grows into a tall bush and the birds live among its branches. Through the years, we’ve served in both one-to-one circumstances, and group events. Now our orphan families have accepted the challenge to plan and carry out their own mission/ministry activities each year. “Quietly trust yourself to Christ your Lord, and if anybody asks why you believe as you do, be ready to tell him, and do it in a gentle and respectful way.” (1 Pet 3:15) ministry- single-n-group
Please pray with us that God will continue to choose FAITHFUL HEART and use us to reach, rescue, and bless poor and helpless children.
And then I heard the voice of the Master: “Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?” I spoke up, “I’ll go. Send me!” (Isaiah 6:8)

Grace and Peace to you in Christ,
