The harvest of our “wet-season” rice crop is finished…the rice was almost 4-feet tall standing in the paddy, and we gathered almost 11-tons of rice– Praise God for a good harvest!
Our best-weather comes during harvest time; we enjoy cooler temperatures and clear skies…beautiful days.
“You will experience all these blessings if you obey the Lord your God: Your towns and your fields will be blessed. Your children and your crops will be blessed.” (DEut 28:2-4)
One of our families has been cultivating an orchard for growing passion fruit, and it is also nearing harvest.
“Send your grain across the seas, and in time, profits will flow back to you. But divide your investments among many places, for you do not know what risks might lie ahead.” (Ecclesiastes 11:1-2)
At our boy’s dorm, we’ve had workers busy installing our water-filtration system and clean-water storage for the dorm.
Meanwhile, in most of the mountain villages, all the people are gathering in the harvest and celebrating “community” thanksgiving and feasting times.
“Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content.” (1 Timothy 6:6-8)
Grace and peace to you in Christ,
