It seems that each week the choice of what photos & stories to share becomes more challenging—there are always more photos & events to share than will fit into our newsletter. This week is no different, so here goes…
On a recent Sunday afternoon, following our monthly “family worship time”, some of the children were going for a snack of bananas & home-baked cookies. “All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.” (Acts 2:42)
This week we held our 2nd annual “Staff retreat” event. It is 3-days of testing, games, fellowship fun, and team-building events. Here are house fathers Prajuab & Lek folding paper airplanes for one of the team competitions.
“Do your best. Work from the heart for your real Master, for God, confident that you’ll get paid in full when you come into your inheritance.” (Col 3:22-24)
While the house parents were busy in the retreat activities, Pring (our new college dorm student) helped entertain some of the children.
Shirley & I visited a Chinese “herbal medicine” shop in the old town of Chiang Mai. They were “mixing prescriptions” on the counter when we arrived.
“But for you who obey me, my saving power will rise on you like the sun and bring healing like the sun’s rays.” (Malachi 4:2)
Much of our foundation support work is done in the office. Here Grace, our social worker is trying to type while our little dog “Snowy” sits on her lap…it ain’t easy!
“Run your best in the race of faith, and win eternal life for yourself;” (1 Timothy 6:12)
Please remember to pray for all of the orphans and poor children under our foundation care. Pray also for the staff & house parents who are devoted to this good work: may we all grow in faith and godly wisdom.
“To enjoy your work and to accept your lot in life– that is indeed a gift from God.” (Eccles 5:20)
Grace and peace be with you forever in Christ,
