Faithful Heart News

Callahan Corner 9-10-2017

Hello dear friends,

We’re embarrassed that many weeks have passed since our last newsletter. Our excuse is that we’ve been very involved with work here. Aside from that, we can say that this time away from our daily involvement in the lives of the children & families in Thailand, has not been easy. Actually, it would be impossible without the confidence we have in Matt & Audrey, who are managing things while we’re away. “We can tell you what I we would do. Even though we’re not there in person, consider us right there with you…” (paraphrase of 1 Cor 5:3)

One thing we hope can happen while we’re still in America, is to find sponsors who can help these children who need financial support. These seven boys & girls need someone to bless them. God please- “hear their prayers and pleadings from heaven where you live, and come to their assistance.” (1 Kings 8:49)FHF mid-year report 2017 [Autosaved]

These are the hill tribe children now living in the Christian Dorm in Samoeng. Please pray for their humble & faithful house parents who’ve labored many years taking care of poor children. “May the Lord reward your efforts! May your acts of kindness be repaid fully by the Lord God” (Ruth 2:12)Samoeng 2017-07

At Home of Faith, the girls celebrated Raina’s birthday with a cake & candles. Sorry that we couldn’t be there for the fun. “I know what I am planning for you,” says the LORD. I have good plans for you… I will give you hope and a good future.” (Jerem 29:11)HOF birthday rev

Our foundation hosted one of our faithful sponsors, Betsy Tardy and her friend, who came to teach and encourage our families. They were blessed to have open-access to a local Buddhist elementary school. “All the families of the Earth will bless themselves in you and your descendants. Yes. I’ll stay with you, I’ll protect you wherever you go” (Gen 28:14-15)Visitors teaching

URGENT UPDATE: For months, we’ve shared details about the health issues of young Benjamin—he’s dealing with kidney failure and dialisys treatments every 6 hours. Last week he became quite ill and was rushed to the hospital—he spent days in ICU, and was temporarily blinded while his blood pressure reached 200! Thanks be to God, that he slowly recovered and was allowed to return home to our HOME OF GRACE. Please continue to pray for the health of this dear boy, and for the mental health & emotional well being of his house parents. “ Whenever we’re sick and in bed, God becomes our nurse, nurses us back to health.” (Psalm 41:3)Ben banner

For our friends in America, we’d love to visit and share about our mission to rescue poor & at-risk children in Thailand—can we be invited? “Upon arrival they called together the believers and reported on their trip, telling how God had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles [Thai orphans] too.” (Acts 14:27)

Amazing grace and abiding peace to you,
