Hello dear friends,

After several years on the “receiving end” of your gifts and generous sponsor support, our tiny foundation feels ready to take this next big step of obedient faith: Our families are planning to go on a “mission trip” sometime late this year.

They’ve accepted our challenge to select a poor village where both spiritual and physical help are needed…somewhere within a 3-hour drive from Chiang Mai. Then our families will do their own “fundraising” to cover the cost of the project. We are helping them develop a plan to share the Gospel, distribute some first-aid supplies, and donate some warm clothes and winter blankets for the people. This first mission-trip effort will just be one long day trip (about 12-14 hours) ; but we hope to extend that to several days next year as they learn & build upon this experience.

Our house fathers drove up into the remote village and had to cross over this bridge at a spot where the road had fallen down the mountainside.

The road the righteous travel is like the sunrise, getting brighter and brighter until daylight has come.  (Proverbs 4:18)

This is very typical of the village houses…no protection against cold weather, and prone to fires because they build an “indoor fire” & cook and provide warmth.

I know that your goodness and love will be with me all my life; and your house will be my home as long as I live.  (Psalm 23:6)

The dirt road came to an end, and the men locked the truck, and walked the rest of the way, finally crossing this bridge to reach the village of 28 families.

Give your burdens to the Lord. He will carry them. He will not permit the godly to slip or fall.  (Psalm 55:22)

Here the men are praying in the village for wisdom and guidance in the planning.

Please pray that God will be at-work in every home, and each heart as we take this step in nurturing strong faith and godly living.

“Do your best to add holy living to your faith. Then add to this a better understanding.”  (2nd Peter 1:5)

May God bless you with peace and joy,
