Hello dear friends,

The two girls have finally been returned to live in their Christian home! We are so deeply grateful for all your prayers lifted to God for their safety. They were gone for almost 8-weeks, and now we pray that they can settle back into this family without suffering (or causing) more emotional distress. God alone can make that happen. “Do not push me away or leave me alone God, my Savior. If my father and mother leave me, the LORD will take me in.” (Psalm 27:9-10)

Meanwhile, here are some more recent activities:
We held our Staff Spiritual Retreat at a local mission-worker resort. For 3 days, our staff enjoyed spiritual training classes, and times of team-building games & activities. This photo shows Pastor Dave Pound, of our international church in Chiang Mai, and his wife Sher teaching a session about marriage. Joy, our social worker, stands between them as she translates English to Thai. “…You must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen.” (2 Peter 3:18) Pastor Dave teaching

These are our house-fathers. They are already fine men of faith, and they were eager to learn and grow as “disciples of Jesus”. “I know, my God, that you test men to see if they are good; for you enjoy good men.” (1 Chron 29:17) 20170420_170325 REV

The family at our Home of Light, took the boys for a visit to this mountain lake—swimming near a waterfall and a picnic made it a fun day. “All your children will have God for their teacher—
what a mentor for your children! (Isa 54:13 The Message)

At Home of Grace Benjamin has learned to accept some responsibility for his dialysis treatments (every 6 hours)…here he records the important data about his treatment just before bedtime. “LORD, heal me, and I will truly be healed. Save me, and I will truly be saved. You are the one I praise.” (Jerem 17:14) DSCN7206 REV

Here we are with Pastor Tommy, from our church in South Carolina, as we visited Home of Faith.
Pastor Tommy came to teach & lead several sessions about prayer during our retreat, and he also spent time visiting & learning about the varied ministries of Faithful Heart Foundation. “In all the work you are doing, work the best you can. Work as if you were doing it for the Lord, not for people.” (Col 3:23) IMG_5567

We also had the dorm parents from Mae Chaem visit our office during one of their rare trips into Chiang Mai. Between Shirley & I are: House father Prateeb, their daughter U.N. (Yes, her name is like the world organization) and house mother Nidt. The color-coordination in this snapshot was not planned. They provide a safe Christian dorm-home for 24 poor tribal students while they attend school. “When we have the opportunity to help anyone, we should do it. But we should give special attention to those who are in the family of believers.” (Gal 6:10) IMG_5570 REV

Dear friends, please accept our humble thanks for your prayers over these children & families. “So I [Jesus] tell you to believe that you have received the things you ask for in prayer, and God will give them to you.” (Mark 11:24)

Grace and peace and joy to you,
